The Sheep Farm is one of the Farming buildings in Manor Lords. Much like the name suggests, this farm houses sheep, and workers collect Wool from them.

Sheep Farm uses

As mentioned, the Sheep Farm is where you will be keeping your sheep and lambs, grazing them, and producing Wool (which you can export for Regional Wealth). This Wool is used as one of the raw materials for making Yarn and Cloaks. Plus, providing Cloaks for your settlement also fulfills an Amenity requirement for your Burgage plot.

You can get Wool only from the Sheep, as the Lambs won't produce it until they grow up. Further, you won't be able to shear the Wool during winter, as the sheep need it for protection.

How to build a Sheep Farm

There are two parts to building a Sheep Farm - build the Pasture and then build the farm. For the actual construction, you'd require one unit of Timber (for the farm). Technically, the Farm and Pasture can be away from each other, but you should keep them nearby for faster transportation. Note that if you have more sheep than what the pasture spaces can accommodate, your Sheep might run away.

Next, you need to assign a family to the Pasture to take care of the Wool production. Of course, as your pasture grows in size, you will need to assign more families.

Then, you will have to import sheep from the Livestock Trading Post, which you can access from the Trading menu. Now, you can import sheep before you get a pasture, but we will suggest you have a proper place for them first.

Once you have enough sheep in your Pasture, you can breed them for Lambs through Sheepbreeding Development. The Lambs will start producing Wool after a year, so you can decide if you want to keep them or export them for Regional Wealth.

Currently, Manor Lords is in the early access stage, and no upgrades are available for this building. If there are any updates about this, we'll let you know.
