How to use the Trading Post
After building the Trading Post, assign a family to manage it. Then go to the Trade tab and select which goods you want to buy and sell.
Trade Rules
We recommend setting up Trade Rules and limiting the amount of goods brought and sold. This will help you sell surplus goods and buy in goods you are low on.
Buying a Horse to transport goods faster is also recommended, and can be done via a Trading Post or a Hitching Post.
Build a Trade Route
A Trade Route allows a traveling merchant to visit your Region and trade for a specific item.
Fix the Trade Route Price
When a new Trade Route is created, the cost per route increases. We recommend using your development points and getting the Trade Logistics, which will fix the price of Trade Routes to Regional Wealth.
Reduce Import Costs
If you plan to Import many goods, it's worth unlocking the Better Deals Development. This will decrease importing costs by 10 Regional Wealth.
