How it works and benefits
Beekeeping can be unlocked without having unlocked any prior developments. It unlocks the Apiary building, that can produce Honey.
If you thought about creating an entire civilization run on Honey production, think again! Only two Apiaries can be placed in each Region.
The main benefit of acquiring Beekeeping development is that Honey can be produced and exported through your Trading Posts.
As with all food resources, for higher level Burgage plots you will want more food variety - especially for Level 3. Honey can help you achieve this and in turn, help you expand and upgrade your territory.
It also allows you to unlock Advanced beekeeping in the future, which gives you another resource to export - Wax.
