Orchardry is one of the developments under the Farming Tree of Manor Lords. Unlocking the Orchardry development will allow you to create an Apple Orchard in your settlement.

How to unlock
As Orchardry is a main category under the Farming Tree, you can directly purchase it. You will not have to fulfill any prerequisites.
Benefits
As mentioned, the Orchardry development unlocks Apple Orchards Extension, so you can produce Apples. If you have a Burgage Plot Level 1, you will be able to build the Extension. Further, Apples are a good Food source that can help your settlement survive Winters.
You will also need the Orchardry development to unlock the other two sub-developments - Rye Cultivation and Irrigation.
Unlike other Backyard Extensions, an Apple Orchard does not turn the settlers into Artisans, so you should be able to assign them to other buildings.
