Farmhouse details

  • Type: Farming
  • Cost to build: 3x Timber
  • Worker slots: 8
  • Storage: 1200x Crops
  • Moveable: No
  • Upgradable: Yes

Farmhouse uses

As mentioned above, the main purpose of the Farmhouse is to thresh the crops into Grain and store them. You can store up to 1200 resources in the Farmhouse.

Further, you need to employ families on the Fields. These workers plow the field immediately after Winter, then sow the seeds for the selected crops, and then Harvest them around September.

How to build a Farmhouse

To build the Farmhouse, you'd need 3 units of Timber. All you have to do is select the Farmhouse under the Farming tab in the construction menu.

While placing the Farmhouse, you need to ensure that the area around it is fertile. Plus, you'd also want the Fields, Communal Oven, and Windmill nearby to speed up the production of Bread. To streamline this process even more, you can connect these buildings to Main Road to deliver Bread to the settlement faster.

Now, you need to assign up to eight families to the Farmhouse. Further, you can also set up some advanced functions like -

  • Assign workers to specific Fields
  • Adjust the Threshing priority
  • Assign livestock permanently for plowing (unlocked with Heavy plow development)

Crops can be harvested in any season except Winter. If you want, you can also use the Force Early Harvest option.

How to upgrade Farmhouse

Currently, in the Early Access stage, the Farmhouse has an upgrade available. To upgrade the Farmhouse, you will need to unlock the Heavy Plow development and deploy an Ox to plow. For the actual construction, you'd need 1 unit of Timber.
